Well here is an interesting link I just found and well I thought it was rather disturbing but neat at the same time. Other than that I really have nothing else to say about it, but I was wondering what your guy's thoughts were on the article?
The main reason we have indeed developed a different mind set in the attempt to immortalize ourselves through technology is because we are merely recording ourselves. This comes as a result of insufficient technology. We cannot immortalize ourselves because the living flesh is in itself the most crucial aspect to life and mortality. Again, we can record thoughts and even our processes through algorithmic logging. The closest we will come is through artificial intelligence based on a once living human. I will post a blog with a link on this subject. We have been more so been trying to live through technology on a personal level and this leads us as a species to infatuation; means for expression; and dependency on our media tech.
